10 Landing Page Builders That'll Pave the Way to Your Future

Whether you're an experienced web designer or a total newbie, landing pages can be a pain to make. Here are 10 landing page builders that'll help pave the way to your future.

Sonu Kalwar

One-page websites with a special purpose are known as landing pages. Think of them as an online business card or flyer for you or your business. You can use them to promote or sell a product or service, to sign people up for your email list, or to target various types of clients. Depending on the way in which you are A/B testing your landing page, it can work out cheaper than pay-per-click advertising (where you pay every time someone clicks your ad).

Building full websites can take a lot of time and effort. I’ve been there myself, spending hours and hours coding and testing to get it just right. But sometimes you may not have the time or resources for something like that. Or maybe you just want to test something out before investing in a full-blown custom site.

What are the must-haves for a landing page builder?

When deciding what to include in your landing page builder, it's important to remember that a single-page website is not necessarily a landing page. They're related, but not the same thing. In short, a single-page website (sometimes called an "episodic website" or "single-page application") is an entire website that's only one page — no additional subpages are needed. Think of something like Apple.com's "What’s New" page which is used as a hub for various marketing activities and announcements that includes testimonials, video trailers, and social media icons.

If you're serious about creating a one-page site, you need to buy a domain name and some hosting space. You'll also want to invest in a landing page builder, which is designed specifically for this purpose.

If you choose WordPress, you'll have the advantage of being able to move your site over to your own custom domain easily when the time comes. However, that also means using a lot of plugins and customizing everything yourself. If you don't have any technical experience, it can be hard to create a WordPress page from scratch without at least some design or coding knowledge. The learning curve is steeper than with other options.

You might have bumped into this article as you’re having a look at the best landing page creators and builders. In which case, well done! Landing pages are a great way to promote products and services, but they can often be quite time-consuming to build from scratch. Don’t despair! There are quite a few landing page companies/applications out there that provide ready-to-go templates that take just 15 minutes to set up and launch. So I’ve chosen my top five (in no particular order) based on price, ease of use, and features (of course).

A landing page is a web page that's dedicated to a single goal, such as collecting email addresses or driving conversions. Landing pages are like special delivery trucks — the cargo they carry is specific and targeted. And here's one final caveat: the best landing page builder tools have to be a good value for money, which means that to make our list, a larger price tag needs to be justified by more specific features.

Here are the best landing page builder

Leadpages

Do you want a landing page where consumers can learn about your product and buy it all in one place? Leadpages offers both of these features.

LeadPages is a web-based drag and drop landing page builder. This means you can build your landing page in the cloud, and access it from anywhere with a simple link. Using LeadPages for WordPress helps you to create high converting landing pages quickly, and then sync them seamlessly to your WordPress installation.

When it comes to creating a landing page, you have so many different things to think about. From planning how you'll interact with your site visitors, to how you'll pull them in to sign up, it can be tough to stay on track. But at Leadpages, we make it easy with our simple and customizable landing page templates. Just choose the platform where you want to host your landing page -- whether that's on our website or through one of our integrations -- and select from one of our eight pre-made templates. If none of those fit the bill for your needs or business, we also offer a landing page builder that lets you create exactly what you need from the ground up.

The good news is, that it's possible to build a simple one-product shopping cart using the standard Leadpages pricing. Design your page in Canva, then drag an Order button onto your page from the Leadpages Widgets area. Replace the CTA text with "Buy Now" and that's about it. Once you convert to a Leadpages Pro account, you also have the ability to use Stripe (with credit card processing) and add variable products, so you're ready for continued growth!

Leadpages Price: The Standard package for one site starts at $37 per month.

Instapage

Instapage is a drag and drop landing page builder that's very easy to use. You don't need any coding knowledge to create beautiful, mobile-responsive pages in Instapage. Instapage has a lot of features that make it a great landing page software, including A/B testing, 200+ mobile-optimized templates, advanced targeting features, integration with Google Analytics, and more.

It also integrates with other software like MailChimp, SalesForce, and Marketo. A free trial is available for you to test out the product before purchasing it.

Wishpond

Wishpond is a great option for smaller businesses who want a drag-and-drop builder with customizable templates. They have a large selection of landing page templates that you can customize to fit your brand. You can also use their templates for popups and forms, which makes it easy to build out multiple types of pages for any campaign. It integrates with email marketing tools like MailChimp, Drip, and HubSpot, as well as social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

Landingi

Landingi is a landing page builder with a drag-and-drop editor, so you don't need coding skills to create the perfect landing page for your business. There are over 200 fully customizable templates, so you can find the one that best fits your needs—or build from scratch if you're feeling adventurous.

Landingi is a great choice for beginners because it has a dedicated support team as well as webinars and other learning resources to teach everything from how to use their software to marketing tips.

Unbounce

Dentists, attorneys, and plumbers who want to attract new patients online often struggle to find a landing page builder that suits their needs. That's because the best solutions typically require you to have an eCommerce business or at least a fully-online presence. As opposed to those kinds of products, Unbounce is designed with offline businesses such as brick and mortar stores in mind. Whether you live in an urban area or out in the country, there is likely someone who drives by your storefront every day on their way to work, lunch, or home.

Unbounce is one of the easiest, fastest, and most affordable ways of creating a landing page. If you can afford the $80 per month ($800 per year), have a fairly good idea of what you’re doing, and are looking for something easy with drop-dead simple results, then Unbounce is for you. However, if you’re a beginner or on lean budgets, you may want to look at some Unbounce alternatives instead.

You have two options for creating landing pages: the drag-and-drop Classic builder or the new AI-powered Smart Builder (though it's currently in beta). The Classic version of Unbounce is free. It comes with 11 different templates—earning it our Editors' Choice award in the landing page builder category. For a price, though, you can get the Advanced version which allows for A/B testing, and more advanced tools for split testing.

There are two ways to create pages in Unbounce. You can use the Classic Builder or the new Smart Builder. I'll start by explaining how the Classic Builder works. You can use this builder to create all your landing and thank-you pages from scratch. It’s got a familiar drag-and-drop interface, so if you’re used to create landing pages in WordPress then you should feel right at home.

Unbounce is a powerful landing page platform and lead generation tool. It's pretty easy to use for non-designers, and there are a ton of powerful built-in features that lets you personalize elements like headlines, images, text, and more. While Unbounce has long been known as a landing page tool, it should be noted that they do have the capability to create full-page websites. This is the most basic (though essential) type of content marketing -- giving people more information about what your business does and what you do best can help keep them engaged, improve brand perception for SEO purposes, and even prompt follow-up correspondence about your business or offerings.

There are a lot of features in Unbounce. So many that it can have a steep learning curve. I set this up on my own with lots of trial and error—don't do it! Take your time and play with all the options to make sure every page looks exactly how you want it to, before sharing your landing page with potential clients. My suggestion is that you work on an “unbranded” version first before you move onto your branded, actual site.

Unbounce Price: The Launch plan starts at $80 per month and includes up to 500 conversions, 20,000 monthly visitors, and one unique domain.

KickoffLabs

Adding a competition via KickoffLabs is quick, and getting people signed up to enter is as simple as getting them to click the huge red ENTER COMPETITION button at the top of each page. These buttons look great across devices, stand out from regular text links, and each time you refresh the page you'll see a different color for your button - although there's no way to change the actual color of the button once it's been created. This means for now you won't be able to set yourself apart from other competitors. You can also add a countdown timer or schedule live dates for your competition to run, which lets users know exactly when it starts and ends.

With KickoffLabs you don't need to be a web designer to create beautiful, high converting landing pages. Just pick a template and design your landing page, something that's faster than in many other landing page editors. Other landing page builders have loads of features but are lacking a clean and uncluttered interface. The other builders I've tried feel a bit like an email client for building landing pages—fiddly to get going, with too many features that aren't necessary right away and might confuse you as you try and build your first page.

KickoffLabs Price: The Hobby plan starts at $29 per month for three campaigns with up to 2,000 unique visitors each month.

GetResponse

GetResponse is an email and landing page software that offers a 30-day trial with no credit card required. Its landing pages are responsive, which is great for your prospects on mobile devices. GetResponse integrates with WordPress and pretty much every other platform out there. You can build landing pages easily with its drag-and-drop builder, although the templates are kind of limited in variety and design quality.

You can use heat mapping, A/B testing, analytics, and link tracking to see how visitors interact with your page so you know what’s working and what isn’t. You can also create lead funnels to nurture prospects into customers right from the landing page builder. And if you want to use email marketing or automation along with your pages, GetResponse has you covered there too!

Bytewire

Bytewire is a landing page builder developed by web design agency Social Centric Marketing that focuses on creating high-converting landing pages. It’s super easy to use and has a drag and drop interface, plus an option to upload images, seamlessly integrate your email marketing tool or even integrate with social platforms like Facebook.

Bytewire also offers some extra benefits, such as unlimited domains (which means you can register multiple domains for your business). You don’t have to worry about storage either—there is unlimited storage available for site images and videos.

Carrd

Carrd is a really cool landing page builder. With tons of templates, you can build a fantastic landing page (or pages) for your business or organization in minutes. We've tried lots of similar tools, and found Carrd to be one of the best—and most importantly it's free when you're on the basic plan!

Carrd is a drag-and-drop site builder for creating single-page marketing sites with lead capture forms. Once you set up your first few pages, you should have pretty much everything you need to get it running, including hosting and a fast CDN (content delivery network). Carrd's no-frills approach makes it fast and easy to use. Its standout feature is a built-in pricing calculator that lets you see how much money you can make from any WordPress theme.

Carrd is free and open source. It's also better than a spreadsheet for building simple websites, as it does so much more out of the box than as made for Google Chrome. Carrd supports blogging, video embedding, split containers, resizing text (and video), and some basic web design tools. This means that anyone can edit content and add additional items by dragging or double-clicking them.

Carrd is a simple landing page builder that helps you create fully customizable, beautiful landing pages in minutes.Carrd's free Basic plan allows you to create three websites with.carrd.co domains. It's the most cost-effective approach to create simple landing pages, albeit you'll miss out on certain essential features. For example: you can't use Google Analytics; embed third-party widgets from Stripe, PayPal, and Gumroad (so you can take payments); or add forms to collect email addresses. You'll need to upgrade to at least a Pro Standard account to get the most out of it. The good news is it's ridiculously affordable: plans start at just $13/year.

Carrd price: Free for three sites with limited functionality; Pro Lite costs $3 per year and unlocks more designs. To use advanced features like embeds, forms, custom domains, and Google Analytics, you'll need the $13/year Pro Standard plan.

Thrive Architect

Thrive Architect is a popular WordPress plugin that lets users create beautiful websites and landing pages with ease. It has a drag-and-drop builder and a visual editor, so you can add any element to the page without coding or designing. You can also create your own templates and save them for later use.

There are over 300 templates available for you to use, with more added regularly. Thrive Architect allows you to customize your pages with its set of predefined elements – from buttons to testimonials and more – in order to make them look exactly how you want them to be.

It provides conversion focused, as well as basic website blocks that allow you to build a beautiful landing page quickly and easily - no matter what kind of business it is for! This makes Thrive Architect an excellent choice if you're looking for a solution that will get your website up and running in minutes instead of days or weeks.

Elementor Pro

Elementor Pro is a great landing page builder that will help you create elegant, conversion-focused landing pages with ease. It's an updated version of the Elementor plugin, which was one of the first WordPress page builders to focus on offering a user-friendly interface without sacrificing flexibility.

Elementor comes in both a free and premium version. What sets Elementor Pro apart from the free version is its theme builder functionality, which allows you to build custom templates for your site’s header, footer, and archive pages. That said, if you don’t intend to use it as your main website builder (i.e., to create more than just landing pages), the free version may be all you need.

The interface is very user-friendly and makes it easy to drag and drop widgets onto your page until it looks exactly how you want it to look. You can customize every element of your page without having any knowledge of coding or design thanks to its drag-and-drop functionality! If this sounds like something right up your alley - then check out Elementor Pro today!

ConvertKit

ConvertKit is a higher-end tool for building and growing an email list. If you want to use dynamic forms, A/B test your opt-ins, or grow an email list as part of your online business at a high rate without spending too much time on it, ConvertKit can take care of that for you.

Click Create New. Select from more than 50 templates, then add your copy and images to customize it. If you want to add more elements, like a countdown timer, a feed of your past newsletters, or a product people can buy, click into any element and then click the + icon that appears beside it (it took me a while to find). When you're done, publish using the default .ck.page domain (you should really configure your own custom one).

If you're doing business online, email is important. In fact, businesses have a 60% open rate on their emails, and usually deliver new subscribers at seven times the industry average...which is pretty impressive. You may be asking why you should even bother with an email marketing tool when MailChimp (free) or AWeber (lowest paid plan $19/month) are so affordable. It's because ConvertKit ($29/month) gives me more flexibility while providing more functionality AND it offers better service. That appeals to me more than anything else when it comes to choosing the right tools for my business.

ConvertKit Price: Free for 1,000 contacts; $29 for the Creator plan, which adds automation and allows you to manage more than 1,000 connections.

ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels is a website and sales funnel builder that allows you to create sales pages with ease. The easiest way to build a sales page is by choosing one of the many templates ClickFunnels offers. With ClickFunnels, you can also create other types of pages, such as opt-in pages, webinar registration pages and thank you pages.

ClickFunnels allows you to add elements such as videos, images, and text to your landing page. The platform also allows you to collect email addresses from leads who visit your page and send automatic email responses. You can test out ClickFunnels’ features for free for 14 days before committing to any subscription plan.

It’s a wrap

Using a landing page builder is the way to go if you're building a single-page marketing website with no intention of transforming it into a full-fledged website. But if you know you'll want to expand it to a full website, or even an online store, then building your own site—even if it is just a single-page one for now—is the better option.

Websites (and landing pages) are a hugely important part of any business strategy. Without one, you’re competing on an uneven playing field that puts you at a disadvantage against your better-off competition which does have websites. Whether you’re planning a complete website redesign or just looking to build a new landing page that can bring in more customers, there are an incredible number of great website building options available. In this article, I’ll run through some of my favorite approaches for designing and building websites (and landing pages) quickly and easily that are flexible enough that they can grow with your business as it expands, grows, and changes.
